Rn Cardiac Clinic
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a Clinic Manager, nursing will provide direct patient care, meeting the patients' psychological and physical needs in accordance with the physician’s orders, JCAHO, OSHA, the nursing scope of practice, and clinic policies and procedures. Duties are fulfilled to contribute to the continuity and quality of care that fosters the best interest and well-being of all patients and their families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Obtains appropriate medical history and physical data on patients & reviews existing patient records as needed
• Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Provides regular patient status updates to appropriate personnel
• Attend and participate in department/facility meetings as required
• Assisting with office procedures, such as electrocardiograms, and scheduled outpatient procedures, such as stress tests and cardiac CTA’s (Computed Tomography Angiography) according to competency under the supervision of a provider
• Performs other duties as may be assigned consistent with professional credentials
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures and participates in facility quality improvement and safety programs
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities in order to maintain clinical currency
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Good patient management skills
• Knowledgeable of nursing duties and clinical skills
• Ability to assist in duties outside of specific duties
• Ability to communicate with providers, patients, and staff both verbally and in writing
• Foster collaboration and teamwork
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in a clinic or doctor’s office preferred
• Cardiac experience preferred
• BLS/ACLS certification mandatory
• Non-restricted Registered Nurse KY licensure
