Benton, KY - Marshall County Hospital (MCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Luther, as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 9, 2026. Steven brings a strong record of healthcare leadership, with experience overseeing hospital operations and medical group services. He is known for a steady, collaborative leadership style and an unwavering commitment to patient-centered care, operational integrity, and community trust.

Steven brings over 10 years of healthcare experience, having effectively overseen hospital operations and medical group services. His robust committee involvement further underscores his dedication to the field; he is a Fellow of the College of Healthcare Executives, a Certified Medical Practice Executive, and a Certified Quality Improvement Associate. Additionally, he serves as a board member of the LOTUS Children’s Advocacy and Sexual Violence Resource Center and has been honored as one of the 40 Under Forty by VUE magazine.
In accepting the position, Steven stated, "I am honored to step into the role as Chief Executive Officer and to serve Marshall County Hospital. This hospital exists because of its people—those who provide care, those who support it, and the community that relies on it every day. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team and to uphold the values of service, trust, and compassion that define this organization.”
On a personal note, Steven is married to his wife of 10 years, Cassandra Luther, and together they have two children: Hailey (6 years old) and Nathaniel (3 years old).
Steven’s arrival reflects a shared commitment to preserving what makes Marshall County Hospital special. His leadership marks an exciting step forward for the hospital, its employees, and the community who depends on it.
